This “novel by tweets” is no lighthearted form of literature, at least, not to me. And as the saying goes “have a child, plant a tree, and write a book,” I encourage everyone to go ahead and write one. It may not become a blockbuster best-seller but, the writer and family, friends, and colleagues will enjoy, cherish, and share.

The format used herein is simple; one memory, a flash, an image, one entry represented in 140 characters or less (letters, comas, dashes included). Try it. It’s a lot of fun!

--------------------------------------------

1963 – 1969, Alabama

1.
My first memory is of John-John who was grounded for being a bad boy.  He had a tree house and he was yelling at me from his window: SSsTEAfan I see you there.  Get off my tree!

2.
My second memory is of my family arriving at the house at night.  To the left there was a forest and at the entrance door a yellowish light shone upon a dead snake.

3.
My third memory is of my beautiful mother Odette in the kitchen with bay windows.

I asked her to be my girlfriend.

She tried to explain why she couldn’t be my girlfriend.
