Nuestros libros en el oeste: El Kiosco de libros

El Kiosco de Libros is an independent nonprofit bookstore operating in the Rincón Cultural Center (a community-driven cultural hub since 1962). Under one roof we have: Cultural activities, a bookstore, museum, exhibitions and Puerto Rican coffee.
We are open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm, and located in Rincón's old slaughterhouse on road 413, km 0.2, Bo Ensenada, Rincón, Puerto Rico. Parking on the lot below on Calle Benjamín Gómez (stairs lead up to the Center). Locate us on a map. Phone: 787-823-5120. Online contact form.

NEWS & EVENTS
Please visit our Facebook page for our current events in English and Spanish. For news and complete listings of our events each month pick up a copy of our free publication Compartir es Vivir at El Kiosco de Libros bookstore, in the Rincón municipal library or at Taller Caribe, La Paz or Tres Puertas Gallery. You can also read it online and subscribe here.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

There's always something going on at the Rincón Cultural Center! We offer concerts, readings, classes (English, Spanish, Italian and French...), workshops (writing, photography, painting, crafts...), conferences (on cultural, spiritual, environmental, social themes..), book presentations, film and documentary screenings, and organize rotating exhibitions. Once a month our bookstore takes part in the Rincón's Farmers Market. Many of our activities are bilingual (if they're listed on our Facebook page in English it's usually that they are).

THE BOOKSTORE
As a nonprofit cultural initiative created to serve the community we aim to help promote reading and writing in our community and Western Puerto Rico as a whole through book sales and cultural events. El Kiosco de Libros is a general interest bookstore that stocks used and new books and magazines in Spanish, English and French. Come and check out our special dollar baskets for great deals.

We also have a selection of English books at Tres Puertas Gallery & Gift Shop, 21 calle Muñoz Rivera, just south of Rincón’s plaza (open Mon-Sat 10-5pm, Sun 1-6pm). Information: Elke Fontillo, 787-672-5284.
