Vilar Creative Agency represents literary fiction, creative non-fiction, current affairs, memoirs, popular culture, and children's fiction. VCA‘s fast growing list includes some of the most distinguished and thought-provoking voices of the Americas with an emphasis on Latino, Latin American, Caribbean writers and a select number of European authors (forthcoming). The agency believes that making world literature available in English is crucial to opening our cultural borders, and promoting a healthy and vibrant book culture. VCA strives to cultivate an audience for these works by helping readers discover imaginative works and by creating a list of stellar international writing. VCA will soon be launching the groundbreaking “World’s New Writings in Translation Fund” and the first "Puerto Rican New Writings" specialized list in the industry. Vilar Creative Agency was founded in 2003 in New York. Now based in Colorado, the agency works with a network of co-agents to represent translation rights in foreign territories, as well as film and television rights.
